V0.13 Death, and Erasing
A number of things added with this update!
-A framing narrative! It is, thus far, just some opening text to contextualize the experience and add a bit of direction. It will be developed further, and I do have a meta-narrative in mind for this game. Look forward to it!
-People, governments, and communities can now die, wondrous day! This should somewhat reduce clogging from spawning a ton of new people and communities. In addition, there is now a maximum of how many people and communities can exist at once, which increases slowly as the years go by. Again, should make all the names a bit less overwhelming.
-Events can now be Erased from the records! Doing so refunds a Record action, in case you're really itching to record a certain event which could disappear at any moment. As with Recording, Erasing events from your record affects your odds of getting similar events in the future.
-People now form relationships! At the moment, this only manifests as two existing people, who are of similar age and in the same community, sometimes falling in love. However, the infrastructure for relationships between characters to begin, grow, and evolve is now present, so expect more of this ilk in the future. Relationships between groups such as governments and communities will be handled a similar way.
-There are the beginnings of a system to have people or places that are more relevant appear more often (and vice verse), based on the individual things the player finds interesting, not just the topic or scale of the event. There are still some wrinkles to iron out, so this isn't reflected in gameplay yet. However, it will soon make it easier to create chronicles about specific people, communities, ect.
